| Westwood Fire Company was dispatched early Wednesday morning to the intersection of Doe Run Road and Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township for a reported struck gas line. Upon arrival, crews confirmed that an active line had been damaged during excavation work.
PECO technicians arrived quickly and secured the leak, eliminating any immediate hazard to nearby homes and motorists. While the situation is now stable, the excavating contractor must return to complete repairs and restore the roadway to a safe condition.
