March 28, 2026

At 13:23 hours on Wednesday, the Westwood Fire Company Ambulance – Wagontown Division was dispatched to the 600 block of Old Wilmington Road in the Phillipsville section of West Caln Township for a reported auto accident with entrapment.

Initial units assigned to the incident included Ambulance 144‑1 from the Wagontown station and Medic 344‑1 from the Sadsburyville station. Upon responding, crews quickly recognized the need for an additional transport unit and requested MICU 244‑1 to the scene. Fire and rescue units from both the Wagontown Fire Company and the Sadsburyville Fire Company were also dispatched.

Units arrived to find a two‑vehicle accident with one occupant trapped inside a heavily damaged vehicle. Fire and rescue crews utilized hydraulic rescue equipment to open the vehicle and safely remove the trapped patient. Once extricated, the patient was packaged and transferred to MICU 244‑1.

MICU 244‑1 and Medic 344‑1 transported the injured patient to a regional trauma center for further evaluation and treatment.

Units: Ambulance 144-1, MICU 244-1, Medic 344-1, 44-60, Chief 44
