On Wednesday January 8th, 2025 at 10:37, the Westwood, Modena, Sadsburyville and Cochranville Fire Companies and the Keystone Valley and Coatesville Fire Departments were dispatched to the 300 block of Doe Run Road in East Fallowfield Township for a building fire. Engine 44-5, MICU 44-1, Chief 44 and Battalion 44 all made an immediate response to the emergency.

Engine 44-5 arrived first due, and crews advanced a hoseline to the fire building. Squad 37 arrived second due and established a supply line to the fire hydrant located at Newlinville Road and Doe Run Road. Modena Assistant Chief Bryant took division one supervisor and reported a ceiling on fire but appeared to be out at this point.

Coatesville Ladder 41 arrived first due truck and advanced their ladder to the roof. Once on the roof, firefighters used saws to cut the roof open and expose the fire area. Firefighters on division one applied water to the fire area and the situation was under control within minutes.

Belfor Property Restoration was called to the scene to secure the roof hole on the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
