On Friday December 27th, 2024 at 09:04, the Modena, Westwood, West Bradford, and Sadsburyville Fire Companies and the Keystone Valley and Coatesville Fire Departments were dispatched to the unit block of Arden Lane in East Fallowfield Township for a structure fire. The caller reported a ceiling fan on fire, and they were evacuating the structure.

Assistant Chief Grossman arrived first due and reported nothing showing from the exterior of a 2-story single family dwelling. Once inside it was determined the fire had been knocked down and there was a smoke condition in the dwelling.

Engine 37 and Ladder 41 arrived first dues, and deployed equipment, manpower and a hose line to division 1. Firefighters confirmed the fire appeared to be out but needed to open up to check for extension. Assistant Chief Bryant assumed the Arden Lane Command.

It was determined there was not any extension into the walls and the house was ventilated of smoke using positive pressure ventilation. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the County Fire Marshal's Office.
