Monday December 23rd, 2024 was another busy day for the Westwood Fire Company, divisions of Fire and EMS. The company was dispatched to the 100 block of Barbara Lane in West Caln Township for a mobile home on fire. Our Pumper-Tanker from the Main Station and MICU from the Wagontown station were both due on the assignment.
Arriving first, Wagontown Chief Reber reported a mobile home fully involved and believed it to be evacuated. Sadsburyville Rescue 31 was first due engine, and upon arrival of Engine 44-5 we began supplying our 3,000 gallons of water to Rescue 31. Firefighters had multiple hose lines in service and quickly went through our water, which was then replenished by Honey Brook Engine 33-5.
Firefighters worked together to quickly bring the fire under control and protect the exposures. The structure was deemed a total loss, and the cause of the fire was under investigation by the County Fire Marshal's Office. |
