This morning at 10:52 the Westwood Fire Company and mutual aid were dispatched to the 2800 block of Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township for a structure fire. Westwood Engine 44-5 made an immediate response and arrived first due at 10:59.

Firefighters arrived to find a duplex configured wood framed structure with smoke showing from the street side. Once inside firefighters located a fire on a stove top and extinguished.

The house was filled with smoke on all divisions and firefighter used positive pressure ventilation to remove it.

The assignment was scaled back to the units on scene, Engine 44-5 and Modena Engine 37.
