On Saturday March 6th, 2021 at 1803 hours the Westwood Fire Company and mutual aid were dispatched to the unit block of Gap Road in Valley Township for a house on fire.

Firefighters arrived to find a 2.5 story duplex with fire showing from the rear. Battalion Chief Sly arrived and assumed the Gap Road Command. Firefighters deployed multiple attack lines, suppressed the fire and checked for extension into the fire building and the Charlie exposure.

Units operated on the scene for about 2 hours with all hands working. The Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
