Tanker Due on West Marlborough Fire |

The early morning of Sunday December 8th, 2024 brought on the response to a large fire in West Marlborough Township. The fire was reported at a commercial property in the 500 block of Upland Road and was reported to be fully involved. The Westwood Fire Company was part of the 1st alarm tanker task force, which included multiple other tankers from Southern Chester County. Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the blaze, with multiple ladder pipes and hose lines in service. Engine 44-5 alone, brought 15,000 gallons of water to the scene that was shuttled in from a local pond. Engine 44-5 operated on the scene for 5 hours before being released by command. |
