In the late afternoon of Halloween 2016, fire companies were alerted for a detached garage on fire in the 300 block of Charles Street in Coatesville City's West End Section. Coatesville, Westwood, Sadsburyville and Coatesville VA answered the call.

Arriving on location within minutes Deputy Chief Dobson reported medium smoke from a 1 story detached garage. The Ladder and Engine from Coatesville arriving first went in service with a hose line to extinguish the fire. Engine 44-5 with a crew of 3 arrived as second due engine and assisted with ventilation.

The fire was quickly under control and the incident was scaled back to the units on scene.
