Lawn Mower Fire in Westwood

On September 15th 2013, at 13:15 hours, the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to Linden Street for a reported lawn mower fire.

Engine 44-5 and Ambulance 44-1 responded at 13:17 and were advised by the fire board that the homeowner was reporting a riding mower on fire.

Chief 44 and Engine 44-5 arrived to find a riding mower engulfed in flames next to a garage. The crew from Engine 44-5 deployed an 1 3/4" hand line and made quick work of extinguishing the fire.

Chief 44 placed the fire under control at 13:21 and requested a phone call from the Chester County Fire Marshall's Office.

All 44 units cleared the scene at 14:07.
