On Monday, August 13th, 2012 the Westwood Fire Company placed into service a 2012 Ford Expedition. The vehicle will be utilized by the Fire Chief and used for establishing command at emergency incidents.

The vehicle is equipped with several radios; a medical bag, including an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED); fire gear, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and an incident command board to be utilized to mitigate an incident.

The Chiefs often have to attend various municipal and County-level meetings in addition to many community events and special details, and this vehicle provides our volunteer officers with transportation for such.

The vehicle will replace the 1997 Ford Expedition, which will now be utilized as the station's duty vehicle, enabling other officers to assist in the command structure, in the absence of the Fire Chief.
