By Assistant Fire Chief Adam Grossman
March 22, 2017

Wednesday March 22nd, 2017 at 1322 the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the 300 Block of Ash Rd for the reported out building fire assisting the Wagontown Fire Company in West Caln Township. Battalion Chief Sly arrived minutes later and confirmed a small chicken coop well involved. Engines 31-1 and 31-2 arrived first stretching a hand line and making the initial attack.

Engine 35 arrived next and pulled in the driveway behind the 31 units and the crew assisted with fire attack and overhaul. The incident was quickly scaled back to the initial units and Engine 44-5 for a water supply if needed.

Crews extinguished the fire and quickly put the fire under control at 1334 hours and all companies cleared the scene at 1402.

Special thanks to IrishEyez Emergency Services Photography.

Earlier in the day, the company paid their final respects to Past Assistant Chief Mickey Harrington. Rest easy Chief, we have it from here.
