On Thursday, May 10th, 2012 the EMS Chiefs attended the Emergency Medical Technician Graduation Ceremony for our 4 newest EMTs: Jessica Gensamer, Jeffrey Huss, Jason Kress, and Ryan Martin.
Over a four month period, members of the class spent two weekly weekday evenings and sixteen hours every other weekend in the classroom and out in the field, studying every facet that needs to be known to become an EMT. This course is offered by the Chester County Department of Emergency Services and teaches students the proper skills needed to pass the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Emergency Medical Technician test.
Our members were four out of twenty-five graduates to successfully complete the rigorous 130 hour training course. One additional member, Joe McGinn, began this course and hopes to complete it during the next class cycle.
All of our providers have received their official positive test results from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and are now officially Emergency Medical Technicians!
We congratulate Jessica, Jeffrey, Jason, Ryan, and all graduates on their accomplishments, and hope you look forward to a rewarding lifetime experience as an Emergency Medical Technician. |
